Construction of a gas cogeneration system at the Bródno Hospital in Warsaw
Construction of a gas-fired cogeneration unit with an electrical output of 0.999 MW and a thermal output of 1.2 MW, including associated infrastructure.

The investment comprises the purchase, delivery, and construction of a modern, high-efficiency combined heat and power (CHP) system, along with full supporting infrastructure, located on the grounds of the Mazovian Bródno Hospital in Warsaw. The installation, based on a natural gas-fuelled engine, ensures high efficiency in the generation of both electricity and heat.
The primary objective of the project was to enhance the energy security of the "Budzik" Clinic for Adults. The heat produced is supplied directly to the Clinic and the Veolia Warszawa municipal district heating network, while the electricity feeds into the Stoen distribution network.
As the General Contractor (EPC formula), we are responsible for the comprehensive delivery of the project, including:
- development and construction of technical infrastructure: Erection of the cogeneration building using prefabricated concrete enclosures, which serve as noise protection and an element of small scale architecture,
- supply and installation of key equipment: Including a cogeneration engine with a capacity of 0.999 MWe,
- construction of internal systems: Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical installations within the cogeneration building and the electrical switchroom,
- connection works: Construction of the heat connection to the Budzik Clinic and integration into the municipal district heating network,
eco-friendly solutions: Implementation of a "green roof" on the plant building, allowing the facility to blend seamlessly into the green architecture of the hospital surroundings.
The project is being carried out under the patronage of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, in cooperation with Ewa Błaszczyk’s "Akogo?" Foundation.
